Our Backup Dress option lets you add a second dress to your booking at a highly discounted rate, giving you confidence and flexibility for your event.


Whether you’re unsure about sizing, length, or choosing between two styles, a backup gives you the freedom to try both at home and choose the one that feels right for your event.

How to add a backup dress

1. Browse the collection and add your chosen dress to your cart with the correct hire dates

2. Select a second dress from our backupdress collection below. This can be a different size, colour or completely different style. Ensure you select the same dates as your first dress.

3. Add the discount code 'BACKUPDRESS' at checkout for 50% off the second dress.

4. Upon delivery, try on both styles and choose one to wear. Keep the TAGS attached to the style you don’t wear and return both dresses at the same time.

Important things to know

- Both dresses must be booked for the same hire dates
- Only one dress may be worn
- Backup Dresses are supplied with a security tag
- The Backup Dress must be returned unworn and with the tag attached
- If the tag is removed or the dress shows signs of wear, the full hire fee applies
- Not all dresses are eligible as a backup dress
- Backup Dress fees are non-refundable

How will you know which dress I have worn?

Each dress is securely fastened with an instructions tag. Remove the tag from the dress you do wear, and keep the tags attached to the dress you do not wear. This lets our team know which dress you have worn to your event.

Can I Wear the Backup Dress Instead?

Yes, If your backup dress fits better, you can absolutely wear it instead of your original choice.

Just remember - only one dress may be worn.

What If I Love Both Dresses?

If you’d like to wear both dresses to different events during your hire period, please contact us BEFORE your event. We can arrange this, but the Backup Dress discount will no longer apply.

Why Is the Backup Dress Fee Non-Refundable?

Even if you don’t wear one of the dresses, it has still been shipped and reserved for your booking, meaning it couldn’t be hired by another customer.

Can I get refunded or credited the difference if I end up wearing the Backup Dress, which is cheaper to hire than my first choice?

Unfortunately we cannot refund or credit the difference in hire fee between the two. Even though you may not have worn the more expensive of the two, it has still been sent to you, meaning the opportunity for someone else to rent it at the normal hire fee has been taken away.

What if neither item fits me/is suitable?

If your booking qualifies under our fit-issue policy, you may return both dresses according to our standard return timeframe. Any applicable credit will apply only to the full-priced dress. The Backup Dress fee remains non-refundable.

Is there an extra shipping fee for a Backup Dress?

No. Both dresses are shipped together in the same parcel at no additional postage cost.

What happens if I remove the tag from the Backup Dress?

If the security tag is removed or tampered with, the dress is considered worn and the full hire fee will be charged, minus the Backup Dress fee already paid.
